Alcarràs (Lleida), March XX, 2026. – Gaudea, a producer of extra virgin arbequina olive oil with D.O.P. Les Garrigues, returns to Alimentaria to present a successful trajectory combining tradition, innovation, and strong international expansion. Following the impact generated at the previous edition, the company reaffirms the leading role of its most disruptive proposal: Gaudea Botanics – Olive Gin. During the fair, visitors will have the opportunity to taste both its innovative gin and its award-winning oils.
The essence of Alcarràs in a unique distillate
This project was born from the desire to take the passion for olives to a new level. Gaudea Botanics gin blends the brand’s exclusive arbequina olives with a selection of aromatic plants such as lemon myrtle and wild mint, along with spices like coriander seed and nutmeg. Crafted artisanally in collaboration with the micro-distillery La Destilateca, the result is a balanced, fresh, and intensely flavored product that has captivated lovers of gastronomic innovation.
Alfred Peguero, financial manager at Gaudea, highlights that “this launch represents going one step further and committing to a new, distinctive and unique product based on an excellent raw material, such as our arbequina olives from Alcarràs.”
Unstoppable growth in Central Europe
Gaudea’s commitment to quality has been directly reflected in the most demanding markets. Over the past year, the brand has experienced sales growth of over 50% in France and Germany, mainly through its e-commerce channel. This international momentum has led the company to continue investing in its origin, with the planting of 100 new hectares of olive trees this May and the acquisition of additional land to strengthen its production capacity in the coming years, with an estimated production reaching 380,000 liters annually within 4 to 5 years. The brand is currently present in countries such as Sweden, Belgium, Finland, and Slovenia.
Excellence endorsed by international juries
Gaudea’s prestige at Alimentaria is backed by a record year in terms of awards. The Signature range, an early harvest green arbequina oil, has received four awards in major international competitions in 2025. The product won the gold medal at the NYIOOC in New York, where it was already awarded last year, as well as gold at Olive Japan in Tokyo and at the London IOOC. Additionally, the Berlin Global Olive Oil Awards granted the brand a bronze medal, marking three consecutive years of recognition in this European competition.
